Flamenco / Flamenco Rumba / Mexican Folk
Tatewari, a visionary international flamenco quartet, fuse Spanish, gypsy, jazz, rhumba, and Mexican music traditions for a fiery and memorable concert experience.
Esaú Galván and Al (Mimi) Ramirez on guitar and Dany Márquez on bass have been friends since childhood and a more recent member, Sonny Davis from British Columbia, rounds out the group on cajon. This group enchants audiences with fiery flamenco and gypsy guitar music, much of it original compositions by Esaú Galván, on a regular basis at venues in Puerto Vallarta and their hometown La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
Just back from touring Western Canada to mark the release of their fourth CD, Tatewari brings a sparkling creativity to the stage, adding Mexican heat to their interpretations of traditional and contemporary flamenco music and masterful compositions inspired by life in the Banderas Bay.
